Today, the encyclopedia has grown into a 22-volume set consisting of more than 14,000 pages. World Book Online was first offered to schools and libraries on a subscription basis in 1998 and to individual and home subscribers in 1999. This one site has evolved into today’s suite of online research tools called the World Book Web. These sites are designed to make online knowledge more useful and accessible to students and library patrons at all learning levels. The collections are individually tailored for schools and public libraries. Additionally, World Book offer specialty sites and digital libraries to complement our print reference products.
